Make the web move. Students will explore interactive 3D design, animation, and motion using Spline, then bring what they create onto a real web page.
Every 3D object you’ve seen moving across a website was designed and animated by someone. In the 3D Animation Lab workshop, students will get to do it themselves.
Using Spline, a real 3D design tool, they’ll import a 3D model and make it their own by changing colors, materials, and textures. Then they’ll bring it to life with animation and interactions that respond as someone moves their mouse.
To finish, students will take what they’ve created and embed it into a live web page using simple copy-and-paste code. Along the way, they’ll see how 3D animation is being used on the web today and how these skills can connect with 3D modeling and design.
